Jim Staples has over 40 years of experience including a long stint with HC Price Co. (now HC Gregory) located in Battlesville, Oklahoma, where he was one of the Head Project Managers for a section of the Alaskan Pipeline, Mr. Staples has drilled over 300 wells in Northeast Oklahoma, and Rocky Top Energy continues to be one of the top independent oil producers in the region. Mr. Staples is widely recognized as one of the best in the industry for his abilities as an excellent task manager, leading to efficient project management, meeting project deadlines, and keeping project expenses to a minimum.

Mike Allen

Petroleum Engineering Technologist

Mike Allen has 37 years of experience working in various aspects of the Oil and Gas industry, Mr. Allen is credited with Pioneering Commercial Development of a Coal Bed Methane play in NE Oklahoma and SE Kansas that resulted in the drilling of Thousands of Natural Gas Wells throughout the region. Further, Mr. Allen developed cost saving Automation to the Industry by way of innovation allowing Pumping units to run more efficiently resulting in lowering maintenance and electrical cost and was recognized by the Oklahoma State Legislature for such endeavor. Mr. Allen has worked for various Oil & Gas Companies throughout the US as an Operations Manager and Technical Advisor. Mr. Allen has also served as an Expert Witness for Oklahoma, Kansas, and New Mexico Corporation Commissions Hearings as well as being a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Phill Osterhout

Owner Yarhola Energy

Phil was born in Drumright, Oklahoma and currently resides in Drumright on his 160 acre ranch. He graduated from Drumright High School before attending Central State College in the mid 1970’s. Mr. Osterhout is very active in all aspects of the oil and gas industry, he currently owns and operates (Yarhola Production Company) dozens of producing wells in Drumright and many more throughout Central Oklahoma.

Mr. Osterhout started Phil’s Pipe & supply (1985 - present) in Drumright, Yahola Production Company, his operations company (1988 - present) and owns US Tank Trucks (2000 - present), also in Drumright. Other successful business ventures he has been involved with over the years include Viking Land Development (Tulsa) and Medicinal Cannabis operations, in more recent years.

Mr. Osterhout’s 40+ years of oil and gas experience combined with unparalleled connections in the industry locally makes him an ideal partner/operator for our venture into the world famous Cushing - Drumright Oil Field.
